Second hint to puzzle 101: Right triangles

A number of approaches to this problem are possible.  Consider the following.

• Let AE and CD meet at F.  Show that DF = AD.  Then consider pairs of similar triangles: ABE and CFE, and ABC and ABE.
  or
• Express ADC in terms of ABC.  Then apply an appropriate trigonometric identity that connects these two angles.
